Preserving the Cultural Magic

The leadership team wanted to preserve the cultural magic that had fueled Aduro’s early success. With an ambitious hiring plan, the team knew it was time to articulate the Vision, Mission and Values in words that would ring true and create a strong employer brand.

A robust listening exercise that started with leaders and included all employees led to three guiding principles: Interact Authentically, Commit Like a Marathoner and Excel Together.  Defining this call to action provided a blueprint for evaluating prospective new employees.  To get full benefit, we enhanced the hiring process to include behavioral questions and held training sessions to arm hiring managers with skills for evaluating cultural fit. Once the foundation was in place, we strategized on how to integrate the culture work into daily operations, leveraging leaders who were already taking a values-based approach to leadership as coaches and role models.
